Newtownards: Revitalisation of Meeting House Lane

Funded by Department for Communities (DfC) with contributions from Ards and North Down Borough Council and Newtownards Chamber of Trade. 

In collaboration with Newtownards Chamber of Trade, an 'Art Jam' Revitalisation event took place in Meetinghouse Lane on 23 October 2021.  

It involved 15 local artists including 3 international acts.  Each of the artists took part in the re imaging of the laneway through the development of 15 new pieces of street art along either side of the lane walls.  

The Revitalisation of Meeting House Lane re-energised an unloved connection to the town centre further enhancing its appeal as a go-to place for more cultural/artistic activities and celebrating local culture and diversity.
