City and Town Masterplans
Masterplans provide a vision and a framework for the promotion, implementation and timing of urban regeneration, recreation, tourism, and leisure initiatives in our towns and city.
Our Masterplans were developed in partnership with the Department for Communities (then Department for Social Development) between 2010 and 2015. Much has changed in the intervening period and the Council appointed consultants, The Paul Hogarth Company, in the Autumn of 2022 to undertake a review of each one.
This review was informed by several hundred local stakeholders who contributed at informal drop in sessions, public meetings and online.
The review was completed in November 2023.
The original Masterplans documents and reviews can be accessed on the links below.
